Antiplagiarism

IJEI enforces strict protocols to protect intellectual integrity and prevent scholarly misconduct, plagiarism, and redundant publication.

1. Mandatory Electronic Screening:
Every manuscript submitted to the journal is subjected to automated similarity indexing prior to being sent for peer review, utilizing certified enterprise plagiarism detection software (Turnitin / iThenticate).

2. Similarity Thresholds:
- The overall similarity index must not exceed 20%.
- The similarity percentage from any individual single published source must not exceed 3% (excluding titles, abstract headings, and bibliographic references).

3. Editorial Actions:
- Submissions exhibiting similarity between 21%–25% will be returned to the corresponding author for compulsory paraphrasing and proper re-citation.
- Submissions exceeding 25% or containing direct verbatim replication of previously published data or text without quotation will be rejected outright without review.
- If deliberate plagiarism is identified following publication, the journal will immediately launch an investigation in accordance with COPE flowcharts and issue a formal retraction.
