Artificial Intelligence (AI) Use Policy
In response to the rapid development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its increasing use in scientific research and academic publishing, the Journal of Early Childhood Care and Education (JECCE) requires all authors to transparently disclose any use of AI tools in the preparation of their manuscripts.
Authors must declare whether AI tools have been used and, where applicable, specify the tools used, the purposes and extent of their use, and the parts of the research or manuscript in which they were applied. Authors are also expected to explain their position regarding the use of AI in their research and writing process, including how AI-generated or AI-assisted outputs were evaluated, verified, and incorporated into the manuscript.
The use of AI tools does not relieve authors of their responsibility for the accuracy, originality, integrity, and ethical compliance of their work. Authors remain fully accountable for all content submitted to JECCE, including any material generated or assisted by AI. AI tools cannot be listed as authors or be assigned authorship responsibility.
This declaration should be included in the manuscript, preferably in a separate section entitled “Declaration of AI Use” or “AI Use Disclosure.” If no AI tools were used in the preparation of the manuscript, authors should explicitly state this.
JECCE is committed to promoting transparency, research integrity, and responsible innovation in scholarly publishing. Failure to disclose AI use accurately may be considered a breach of the journal’s publication ethics.
