NOTION, published by Universitas Ahmad Dahlan, is committed to ensuring the long-term preservation, continued accessibility, and reliable availability of its published scholarly content. To support the integrity and sustainability of the scholarly record, the journal adopts a digital preservation and archiving policy designed to safeguard published articles and their associated metadata against data loss and technological obsolescence.
1. PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN)
Where available and applicable, NOTION supports digital preservation through the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN), which uses the LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) technology to maintain distributed archival copies of participating journals. This preservation mechanism helps protect published content and supports its continued availability in the event of data loss or disruption to the journal’s website.
2. Institutional Repository of Universitas Ahmad Dahlan
Published articles and journal issues may be archived in the institutional repository of Universitas Ahmad Dahlan (Repository UAD), subject to the university’s repository policies and the journal’s archiving arrangements. Deposited materials may include full-text articles, publication files, and associated bibliographic metadata to facilitate long-term access, discovery, and scholarly reuse.
3. National Scholarly Repositories and Discovery Services
NOTION supports the dissemination and discoverability of its published content through relevant national scholarly platforms, including GARUDA (Garba Rujukan Digital) and Indonesia OneSearch, subject to applicable indexing, harvesting, and repository requirements. These platforms facilitate the discovery and retrieval of scholarly publications and their bibliographic metadata by researchers, librarians, and the wider academic community.
4. Author Self-Archiving Policy
Authors are permitted and encouraged to deposit the published version of their articles (the Version of Record or Publisher’s PDF) in non-commercial institutional repositories, subject repositories, or personal academic websites, provided that such deposits comply with the journal’s licensing and copyright policies. Authors must include the appropriate bibliographic citation, the article’s DOI where available, and a link to the official version published on the NOTION website. Self-archiving is permitted upon online publication, subject to any applicable licensing conditions.
Through this policy, NOTION seeks to strengthen the long-term preservation of scholarly knowledge, promote responsible open dissemination, and ensure that its published research remains discoverable and accessible to the academic community.
