Mimesis is academic, open access, and peer-reviewed journal founded and first published in 2020 by the Indonesian Literature Department, Faculty of Culture, Literature, and Communication, Universitas Ahmad Dahlan, Indonesia.

 
Focusing on culture, language, and literature as it is viewed from the Indonesian perspective, Mimesis provides a platform for the presentation, analysis, and criticism of provocative work, publishing articles that transcend disciplines and advance the study of humanities.
 
Issues are published two times per year (in January and July) and all articles are published exclusively in Bahasa and English. Submissions are open year-round. However, before submitting, please ensure that the manuscript fits within Mimesis focus and scope, and is written in English, and follows our author guidelines. Please note that only research articles or book reviews are accepted.

Dear Scholars,

MIMESIS welcomes research-based papers having a depth discussion of the theories and practices of Indonesian language, literature, and culture.
New submissions are always open for the upcoming editions. The Editor-in-Chief/Editorial Team will filter newly-submitted manuscripts for the review process.

Mimesis is an academic, open access, peer-reviewed journal established and first published in 2020 by the Indonesian Literature Study Program, Faculty of Humanities, Literature, and Communication, Ahmad Dahlan University, Indonesia.

Focusing on culture, language, and literature seen from an Indonesian perspective, Mimesis provides a platform for the presentation, analysis, and critique of provocative works, publishing articles that transcend disciplines and advance the study of the humanities.


In this edition, Mimesis Journal published 5 articles from 2 countries and 3 institutions, namely Gajah Mada University, Lancaster University, and STKIP PGRI Sumenep. A total of 3 articles are written in Indonesian and 2 articles are written in English. It is hoped that all articles published can be a reference for the authors and expand knowledge for all readers.
