Policy on the Use of Generative AI in Scientific Writing
Authors submitting manuscripts to Al-Misbah must disclose any use of generative AI tools during the writing process at the time of submission. Please note that this policy applies specifically to the preparation of the manuscript and does not refer to the use of AI for data analysis or research insights.
Generative AI and AI-assisted technologies may only be used to enhance the clarity and language quality of the manuscript. All use of such tools should be carried out under direct human supervision; authors must carefully review and edit any AI-generated content, since these technologies can sometimes produce text that is misleading, incomplete, or biased. Authors are fully responsible for the accuracy and integrity of their manuscripts.
AI or AI-assisted tools should not be listed or cited as authors or co-authors, as authorship implies accountability and specific contributions that only individuals can fulfill.
Authors are required to include a clear statement at the end of their manuscript, at the time of first submission, if generative AI or AI-assisted tools were used in the writing process.
The Al-Misbah editorial team is actively monitoring developments in AI technology and may update this policy as needed in the future.
