Analisis persepsi mahasiswa generasi Z dalam penggunaan media sosial dengan nilai toleransi di Kota Bandung

Mahasiswa generasi Z dalam kesehariannya tidak terlepas dari penggunaan media sosial. Penggunaan media sosial yang masif menjadi sarana dalam sosialisasi karakter toleransi yang membentuk harmoni dalam masyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan persepsi mahasiswa generasi Z dalam penggunaan media sosial, dan hubungannya dengan nilai toleransi di Kota Bandung. Penelitian dilaksanakan dengan pendekatan penelitian kuantitatif menggunakan angket sebagai instrumen penelitian. Teknik pemilihan responden dilakukan dengan sampling bertujuan atau purposive sampling, disertai dengan teknik analisis deskriptif dan uji korelasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persepsi mahasiswa terhadap media sosial sebagai sarana penyebaran nilai toleransi positif. Analisis inferensial menunjukkan hubungan positif dan kuat antara persepsi mahasiswa dengan nilai toleransi dalam pemikiran dengan koefisien korelasi 0.685. Hubungan antara persepsi mahasiswa terhadap media sosial dengan nilai toleransi dalam tindakan dengan koefisien korelasi 0.694, yang menunjukkan hubungan yang kuat dan positif. Toleransi dalam pemikiran dan toleransi dalam tindakan menunjukkan nilai koefisien korelasi 0.806 yang menunjukkan korelasi yang sangat kuat. Media sosial memiliki peran dalam membentuk nilai toleransi yang kemudian menjadi sikap toleran pada mahasiswa generasi Z di kota Bandung.
