Peer Review Proccess

Paper submit in the Bulletin of Applied Mathematics and Mathematics Education (BAMME) will be reviewed by some experts of mathematics (at least two peer-reviewers). It will take for about a month to conduct the review. Every paper submitted will be scanned for plagiarism before it is sent to the reviewer.

To be published in this Journal, a paper should meet the following requirements:

  • The paper submitted in the journal must be original, unpublished work, and not under consideration for publication elsewhere.

  • Should be a research result or literature studies in mathematics field.
  • Provides strong evidence or proof for its conclusions.

  • Ideally, interesting to researchers in mathematics field and other related disciplines.
  • If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.

After being reviewed, there will be four kinds of editor decision based on the reviewers’ recommendation:

  1. Accept Submission: The submission will be accepted without revisions.
  2. Revisions Required [Minor Revision]: The submission will be accepted after minor changes have been made.
  3. Resubmit for Review [Mayor Revision]: The submission needs to be re-worked, but with significant changes, it may be accepted. It will require a second round of review, however.
  4. Decline Submission: The submission will not be published in the journal.

In general, to be acceptable, a paper should represent an advance in understanding and influences thinking in the field of study. There should be a strong reason why the work deserves to be published in a Bulletin of Applied Mathematics and Mathematics Education (BAMME).

Authors in general are not allowed to withdraw their submitted manuscript to the BAMME because the withdrawal is a waste of valuable resources that editors and referees spent a great deal of time processing submitted manuscripts, and works invested by the publisher. There should be a strong reason why any article is requested to be withdrawn from the BAMME. If the authors urge to withdraw their article without providing acceptable reasons, we regret that we have to blacklist the authors and their affiliation to publish at the BAMME in the future.
