http://journal2.uad.ac.id/index.php/taqaddumi/article/view/12234

This study examines the contextual interpretation of Surah al-Fatihah in Jawāhir al-Qur’an, a work by al-Ghazali, through the lens of Abdullah Saeed’s contextual hermeneutics. Al-Ghazali’s approach to Surah al-Fatihah combines esoteric and philosophical dimensions, emphasizing its spiritual and transcendental messages. Unlike traditional interpretations, his thematic focus refrains from detailed grammatical analysis, instead highlighting its role as a reflection of a believer’s spiritual journey. Employing a qualitative and library research methodology, this study contextualizes al-Ghazali’s interpretations for modern relevance, particularly in addressing contemporary issues of servitude and obedience to Allah. The findings suggest that al-Ghazali’s model of exegesis, rooted in Sufi thought, offers a dynamic framework for reinterpreting Qur’anic messages to maintain their applicability in contemporary life.
Elina NurjannahAbdullah Hadani

http://journal2.uad.ac.id/index.php/taqaddumi/article/view/12484

This study explores the relevance of the halal and tayyib principles in the Qur'an and Hadith to modern food safety issues. A qualitative approach with a descriptive-analytical design was employed to analyze Qur'anic texts, Hadiths, and relevant secondary literature. Data were collected through document analysis and analyzed using deductive-inductive methods to identify the relationship between Islamic teachings and contemporary food safety practices. The findings reveal that the principles of halal and tayyib encompass legality, quality, cleanliness, and food safety dimensions. Verses such as Surah Al-Baqarah (2:172) and Surah Al-Maidah (5:88) emphasize the importance of consuming food that is halalan thayyiban. The Hadiths on cleanliness and covering food containers align with modern food safety practices, such as contamination prevention. Additionally, literature indicates that consumers associate the halal label with high-quality and safe food standards. This study concludes that Islamic principles like halalan thayyiban can serve as theoretical and practical guidelines to address current food safety challenges. The research contributes to Islamic knowledge by offering a framework to integrate religious values into modern food safety systems. The findings open opportunities for future research, including field studies, cross-cultural collaboration, and the application of technology in halal certification.
Kharis NugrohoZaduna FiddarainMuhammad HilmieMiftah Khilmi Hidayatulloh

http://journal2.uad.ac.id/index.php/taqaddumi/article/view/12794

Religion, peace, and human rights are three very important and complex topics. Religion often provides moral guidance, values, and meaning in life for many people. Besides being a source of strength, peace, and solidarity, it can also cause division if differences are not faced with tolerance. Peace is a harmonious state where conflicts are resolved without violence. Peace is often achieved through dialogue, understanding, and cooperation. Human rights are basic principles that guarantee every individual inalienable rights, such as freedom, equality, and dignity. The three are closely interconnected. When human rights are respected and protected, peace is more likely to be achieved, and religion can play a positive role in building a more just and harmonious society. This study aims to reveal a limited picture of the thematic interpretation of the Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs (Depag) regarding peace and human rights in its efforts to make religion a source of harmony among people, both nationally and globally. The method used in this study is qualitative, focusing on the thematic interpretation of the Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs (Depag) regarding Peace and Human Rights with a text analysis approach. From this study, it was found that the thematic interpretation by Depag provides guidance for its readers to always practice religion moderately so that the peaceful values of Islam can always be embodied in the actions of every Muslim.
Rizki FirmansyahBudi Jaya Putra

http://journal2.uad.ac.id/index.php/taqaddumi/article/view/12151

This paper explores the history and methodology of demonstrations from the classical to the contemporary era. To this day, the phenomenon of demonstrations cannot be eradicated in the world. Initiated by the West, demonstrations are worth the spirit of fighting against the government if the policy is not pro-people which ends with anarchist actions. While in Islam, demonstrations are conceptualized with two terms, Muzhaharaah and Masirah. What is allowed in Islam is Masirah, because it contains good procedures and is not anarchic. Although demonstrations in the Qur'an are not mentioned with certainty, but as a secondary text or interpretation of the Qur'an explains the demonstration as a whole which is packaged in the tafsir movement/haraki. This study aims to examine demonstrations in Islam with the paradigm tafsir movement/haraki. This research is qualitative in nature by using the method of tafsir movement/haraki. The results of this study indicate that demonstrations in Masirah-based Islam can maintain Islamic values intact. And by applying the methodology of tafsir haraki Shalah Abdul Fatah Al-Khalidi, demonstrations contain the value of movement, da'wah, and education that does not injure social and religious norms.
Achmad Sofiyul Mubarok

http://journal2.uad.ac.id/index.php/taqaddumi/article/view/12167

Bathing the corpse is one form of farḍu kifāyah in Islam. In Yogyakarta, the practice of bathing the corpse has been facilitated by one of them, PKU Muhammadiyah Hospital Yogyakarta. Due to the legality of the community institution, the author feels the need to examine the form of implementation (practice), basis, and validity of the evidence for bathing the corpse. This type of research is qualitative field research with interview, observation and documentation data collection techniques. Furthermore, to understand the meaning of the hadith, the researcher uses the methodology of understanding the hadith of Arifuddin Ahmad, with textual, intertextual and contextual interpretation methods. In this study, it was found that the practice of bathing the corpse at PKU Muhammadiyah Hospital Yogyakarta in its implementation begins with determining who will bathe the corpse, which begins with the intention, placing the corpse in a closed room and ending with maintaining the corpse's disgrace. In this case, there is a discrepancy between the text of the hadith and its implementation. Such as bathing a person who died from burning, in terms of braiding and the use of inconsistent wet cloth.
Rika AndrianaJannatul HusnaGamal Abdul Nasir Zakaria

http://journal2.uad.ac.id/index.php/taqaddumi/article/view/12216

The presence of hadith translations in Indonesia shows the reading and understanding of the Prophet's hadith, as well as a concrete form of the meeting between the world of texts, namely hadith and the concrete world of readers. This meeting emphasizes the existence of a cultural process. This study aims to read the dialectic of hadith with local and social culture in the translation of the hadith Kasyf al-Liṡāmfi Tarjamati Bulugh al-Maram fi Tarjamati Bulugh al-Maram. This study is library research with an inductive method and with a historical-critical approach. The results of this study indicate that the interrelation between hadith and culture in the translation of the hadith Kasyf al-Liṡāmfi Tarjamati Bulugh al-Maram is explained through two patterns, namely adaptation and integration. The adaptation pattern is seen in the use of local language (Javanese) and socio-cultural (pesantren) which reflects respect for communication. The integration pattern is shown in the explanation of hadith material in the local Javanese context through the reconstruction of his life experiences in the surrounding community. Interrelation reflects the uniqueness of hadith translation in the archipelago as a depiction of the dynamic dialogue between Islamic teachings and local cultural diversity.
Fatihatus SakinahRodliyatuz Zahro'
