Scholars in this region have been distinguished by their scholarly contributions, influencing others from different and being influenced by them as well. They introduced new areas in Hadith studies regarding book composition and refinement, similar to Al-Qadi 'Iyad in his book "Masyariq al-Anwar ala Sehah al-Athar," which had a clear impact on subsequent writings by scholars. This includes their discussions on "Tarajim al-Bukhari," as exemplified by Ibn Rushaid al-Sabti, whose influence extended to those who followed him and transmitted from him. They also played a prominent role in knowledge transmission in general, especially in Hadith, by categorizing books as indices, programs, proofs, dictionaries, and chains of narrators. These books among scholars contain the chains of transmission through which they reached the books of scholars, such as "Al-Ghunyah" by Al-Qadi 'Iyad, Ibn Khair al-Ishbili's Fihris, Al-Tujibi's Barnamaj, and others. They also took the lead in explaining Sahih Muslim and in preserving its narration in mosques and schools. All of this highlights that the Maghrebi and Andalusian scholarly figures went beyond mere knowledge transmission; they made valuable additions that contributed to the development of Islamic knowledge. Thus, the research objectives are to explore the contributions of Ceuta scholars in Hadith studies, evaluate their impact on others, and identify their distinctive aspects. In this study, we employed historical methodology, textual analysis, and comparative study techniques.
2024-06-30T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2024 Mekki Klainahttp://journal2.uad.ac.id/index.php/taqaddumi/article/view/8523Study Of The Meaning Of The Prohibition Of Sleeping After Fajr With A Scientific Approach In The Hadith Narrated By Abu Daud Index Number 26062023-12-25T01:49:15+00:00Widiana Putri Wulandariputriwidiana426@gmail.comAndris Nuritaan2979674@gmail.com
Sleep is a necessity for every human being in everyday life. However, several times are not recommended, including sleeping after dawn. In the hadith, it is also mentioned that the Prophet forbade his people to sleep after dawn. However, not all hadiths are authentic and can be used as evidence. Therefore, it is necessary to re-examine the validity and meaning of the hadith. To examine the meaning of the hadith, the author uses the study of tahlili. This study aims to describe the prohibition of sleeping after dawn from the hadith perspective with a scientific approach. The method used in this research is the descriptive qualitative method. The results of this study prove that sleeping after dawn is not suitable for health, and the views of the scholars regarding sleeping after dawn are highly discouraging and make it a habit.
2024-06-30T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2024 Widiana Putri Wulandari, Andris Nuritahttp://journal2.uad.ac.id/index.php/taqaddumi/article/view/12310The Concept of ‘Aql in the Formulation of Matn Hadith Criticism: A Conceptual Study of Muhammad al-Ghazali’s Thought in His Work as-Sunnah an-Nabawiyyah baina Ahl al-Fiqh wa Ahl al-Ḥadīṡ2024-12-19T12:10:57+00:00Nur Kholisnur.kholis@ilha.uad.ac.idQaem Aulassyahiedqaem@ilha.uad.ac.idFitria Sari Yunaintifitria.yunianti@bsa.uad.ac.id
This study aims to investigate the role of ‘aql in the criticism of the matn of hadith by Islamic scholars. In religious studies, hadith is one of the primary sources for understanding Islam and the practice of Muslim life. However, with the progression of time, a need has emerged to reassess this method from a contemporary scientific perspective. This is evident in the application of scholars in assessing hadith using the indicator of ‘aql, which varies among them. More specifically, the background of this research is based on several facts. First, hadith scholars have paid more attention to the development of sanad criticism than the matn. This points to the statements of contemporary scholars that the discussion and research on hadith have focused more on analyzing and developing the theory of sanad. Second, scholars who recognize ‘aql as a criterion for matn criticism exhibit varying applications of this concept, with these differences already evident since the time of the Prophet's companions. The research methodology will involve literature studies, hadith text analysis, and exploration of the thoughts of Islamic scholars and intellectuals regarding the use of ‘aql in matn criticism.
2024-06-30T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2024 Nur Kholis Arman, Qaem Aulassyahied, Fitria Sari Yunainti
