The main problems faced by the community include the suboptimal utilization of aloe vera, the lack of processing technology, and a lack of understanding of good food production standards. The training was conducted through outreach, demonstrations on making aloe vera nata, and mentoring on sustainable production. Through these activities, participants gained knowledge about the nutritional content and economic potential of aloe vera, understood the principles of fermentation, and were able to produce aloe vera nata. Evaluation results showed an increase in participants' knowledge and skills in making aloe vera nata. This activity is expected to be the first step in strengthening the community's economy through innovative aloe vera products
2026-02-13T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Anton Yudhana, Nur'Aini Purnamaningsih, Wiwiek Afifah, Novi Febrianti http://journal2.uad.ac.id/index.php/jpmuad/article/view/15810 Socialization and training processing cooking oil waste (jelantah) on household scale 2026-04-07T03:50:41+00:00 Jujun Ratnasari jujun.ratnasari@ummi.ac.id Lela Mukmilah lelathea@ummi.ac.id Salsabilla Dwita salsabila345@ummi.ac.id Siti Hanipah sitinurulhanipah2004@gmail.com
Used cooking oil is still widely used by the general public, which can be harmful to health. Otherwise, it is typically disposed of directly into the environment, becoming a hazardous pollutant. This was necessary to provide knowledge about the dangers of used cooking oil to health and to train the community to reduce waste cooking oil pollution in the environment. The outreach provided information on the definition of used cooking oil, its contents, and the negative impacts of using used cooking oil on health. The training was conducted using the PRA method so that the community could directly practice processing used cooking oil for reuse. The effectiveness of the training was measured using questionnaires before and after the activity. The results of the questionnaire showed that more than 80% of participants agreed or strongly agreed with the statement that they really needed training and materials to process used cooking oil. More than 80% agreed and strongly agreed that this outreach and training should be expanded to other communities. Participants were very enthusiastic and have positive respons about recycling used cooking oil that they believed could provide economic benefits and reduce the amount of oil waste dumped into the environment
2026-02-28T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Jujun Ratnasari, Lela Mukmilah, Salsabilla Dwita, Siti Hanipah http://journal2.uad.ac.id/index.php/jpmuad/article/view/13061 Utilization of antagonistic bacteria and fungi for inducing resistance in red chili and cayenne pepper in Tanjung Dayang Utara 2026-04-05T05:47:19+00:00 Weri Herlin weri.herlin@fp.unsri.ac.id Siti Herlinda sitiherlinda@unsri.ac.id Yulia Pujiastuti ypujiastuti@unsri.ac.id Rizki Palupi palupiarda@yahoo.com Oktaviani Oktaviani oktaviani@polsri.ac.id
Plant health problems caused by pests and diseases remain a significant challenge for farmers, especially in cultivating red curly chili and cayenne pepper. Conventional reliance on synthetic pesticides raises environmental and economic concerns. This community service program aimed to enhance farmers' knowledge in using biological agents as alternatives to synthetic pesticides to strengthen plant resistance. The program was carried out in Tanjung Dayang Utara Village, Ogan Ilir, through stages of preparation, implementation, evaluation, mentoring, and monitoring. Methods included lectures and demonstrations on using Pseudomonas fluorescens and Trichoderma sp. through seed soaking and soil or foliar application. A total of 50 farmers attended, receiving both theoretical and practical training. The evaluation was conducted in three phases: pre-, during, and post-activity. Previous approaches relied heavily on synthetic pesticides, while recent innovations emphasize ecological pest management using microbial antagonists. The outcomes showed a high level of enthusiasm and improved understanding among farmers regarding natural pest resistance mechanisms. Farmers were able to practice the propagation and application of beneficial microbes supported by educational materials. The program reduced farmers' dependency on chemical inputs and contributed to sustainable agricultural practices. This model using replicable in similar agroecosystems facing pest and disease issues. The main problem addressed was farmers’ limited knowledge and skills in utilizing biological control agents as environmentally friendly alternatives. The implementation consisted of preparation, training through lectures and demonstrations, field practice, and evaluation. The results indicated measurable improvements, including increased knowledge based on evaluation scores and reduced reliance on chemical pesticides
2026-02-28T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Weri Herlin, Siti Herlinda, Yulia Pujiastuti, Rizki Palupi , Oktaviani Oktaviani http://journal2.uad.ac.id/index.php/jpmuad/article/view/12086 Enhancing teachers' pedagogical competence through the development of innovative learning tools based on the TPACK approach 2024-12-17T03:33:50+00:00 Wibowo Heru Prasetiyo whp823@ums.ac.id Beti Indah Sari betisari@unesa.ac.id
This community service aimed to enhance the pedagogical competence of Pancasila and Civic Education (PPKn) teachers through a TPACK-based (Technological, Pedagogical, and Content Knowledge) workshop on innovative lesson plan (Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran/RPP) development. Low pedagogical competence in lesson planning remains a persistent challenge for PPKn teachers, as evidenced by below-standard national assessment scores. The workshop engaged junior and senior high school PPKn teachers affiliated with the Indonesian Pancasila and Citizenship Education Professional Association (AP3KnI) of East Java and was delivered online through interactive methods comprising theoretical instruction, learning strategy demonstrations, and guided hands-on practice. Evaluation results confirmed the workshop's effectiveness: mean pedagogical competence scores increased from 6.14 to 11.57, yielding an N-Gain of 63% (classified as "strong") and a large effect size (Cohen's d = 2.046). These findings demonstrate that short-term, structured TPACK-based interventions can produce significant and measurable gains in teacher competence, even in an online format. The workshop model is replicable and scalable, offering a practical reference for professional teacher associations and educational stakeholders seeking to advance technology-integrated instructional practices in 21st-century education
2026-02-27T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Wibowo Heru Prasetiyo, Beti Indah Sari
