Islamic philanthropy plays a strategic role in shaping students' consumption preferences for halal-labeled school canteens through strengthening trust, educating about halal values, and empowering canteen management. This paper aims to analyze the contribution of Islamic philanthropy through the practices of zakat, infaq, sedekah, and educational philanthropy in increasing students' preferences for halal food consumption at SMAN 2 Bantul Yogyakarta. This study uses a qualitative approach based on a systematic literature review of scientific publications discussing Islamic philanthropy, halal labels, and consumer behavior in the educational context. The findings indicate that Islamic philanthropy plays a role not only as an instrument of social redistribution but also as a medium for internalizing halal values and building institutional trust that influences the consumption behavior of SMAN 2 Bantul students in a sustainable manner. The integration of Islamic philanthropy programs into school canteen management has been shown to encourage transparency, accountability, and increased preference for halal-labeled products. These findings confirm that Islamic philanthropy can function as an educational and social approach in building a halal school canteen ecosystem that is oriented towards character building, halal consumption awareness, and the sustainability of religious values in the educational environment.
