Focus and Scope

IJISH (International Journal of Islamic Studies and Humanities)

The main objective of the publication is to create a platform to publish original articles, researches results, case studies and book reviews related to the field of Islamic Studies. The editorial board welcomes original contributions of the author (in English and Arabic) which never been published or under consideration for publication in any other publication.
Contributions can be submitted in any of the following forms: articles (should be approximately 6000 words long; however, both shorter and longer manuscripts will be considered), and book review (the average review should be about 1500 words long).

 The scope of IJISH are:

  2. Arabic Language and Literature.
  3. Islamic Education.
  4. Islamic Economics.
  5. Islamic Civilization.
  6. Islamic Thought.
  7. Islamic Law.

Peer Review Process

IJISH (International Journal of Islamic Studies and Humanities

maintain the standards of peer review while increasing the efficiency of the process.

  1. All research articles published in IJISH (International Journal of Islamic Studies and Humanities) undergo full peer review, key characteristics of which are listed below:
  2. All research articles are reviewed by at least two suitably qualified experts.
  3. All publication decisions are made by the journals’ Editors-in-Chief on the basis of the reviews provided.
  4. Members of the international Editorial Boards lend insight, advice and guidance to the Editors-in-Chief generally and to assist decision making on specific submissions
  5. Managing  Editors and  Editorial Assistants provide the administrative support that allows IJISH (International Journal of Islamic Studies and Humanities) to maintain the integrity of peer review while delivering rapid turnaround and maximum efficiency to authors, reviewers and editors alike.
  6. IJISH (International Journal of Islamic Studies and Humanities) additionally benefit through the manuscript referral process from the high quality peer review conducted by established journals.

 

Publication Frequency

IJISH (International Journal of Islamic Studies and Humanities) is published twice a year in April and October.

 

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

 

Archiving

This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration. More...

This statement clarifies ethical behaviour of all parties involved in the act of publishing an article in our journals, including the authors, the editors, the peer-reviewers and the publisher.
