The goal of this study is to identify whether parents’ perception about the importance of immunisation for their children associate with immunisation of children during the Covid-19 pandemic. From June 2022 to June 2023, an online survey was conducted to parents of children under the age of five. Purposive sample with a 5% margin of error and a 95% confidence level resulting at least 370 minimal samples were required in this study. The logistic regression method was used to examine several factors associated with children’s immunisation during the Covid-19 pandemic including demographic factors, perception about the importance of immunisation, and access related factors. During the 2020 to 2022, 10.9% of respondents did not implement immunisation, and 0.8% stated that immunisation is not necessary for their children. During the Covid-19 pandemic, parents who believe immunisation is necessary were 10 times more likely to immunise their children under the age of five (95% CI: 5.9 - 20.5). The findings of this study suggest that community education and understanding should be maintained in order to ensure the parents understand the importance of immunisation and further to increase immunisation coverage.
Nurul Kodriati, Putri Eka Mulyana Wahab, Bunga Bilbina Rizkika Copyright (c) 2022 Nurul Kodriati., M.Med.Sc., PhD., Putri Eka Mulyana Wahab, Bunga Bilbina Rizkika https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 http://journal2.uad.ac.id/index.php/cp/article/view/6466 Fri, 23 Sep 2022 00:00:00 +0000 The Effect of Reproductive Health Education on the Knowledge Level of Adolescent Pre-Marriage Sex in Riau Province, Indonesia http://journal2.uad.ac.id/index.php/cp/article/view/6159
Background: Adolescence is a stage of growth and development in humans that occurs after childhood and before adulthood. The prevalence of stunting under five in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) has decreased from 30% (2019) to 21% (2021). The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between feeding patterns and exclusive breastfeeding with the incidence of stunting in Fatukbot Village, NTT. This study uses a Case Control method approach. The population in this study were stunted toddlers aged one to five years in the Fatukbot village, NTT. In this study, respondents recruited were 243 respondents where 81 respondents for case and 162 for the control groups. Control sampling used a variable matching method with LBW criteria, history of infectious diseases, maternal anemia and economic status. Feeding patterns were measured by collect information of food frequency and exclusive breastfeeding through questionnaires. The chi square test was employed for data analysis technique. The results showed that there was a significant association between feeding patterns and the incidence of stunting, X2 (1, N=243) = 0.21, p= 0.00. The results also showed that there was a significant association between exclusive breastfeeding and the incidence of stunting, X2 (1, N=243) = 0.29, p = 0.00, meaning that exclusive breastfeeding was a protective factor against stunting. Therefore, it is necessary to emphasize the importance of regular and good practice of feeding patterns and exclusive breastfeeding. Stunting could be reduced by implementing exclusive breastfeeding that is expected to be practiced until the babies aged 6 months and continue breastfeed until the age of 2 years. Food intake, variation and frequency eat in a day, should be monitored, at least, until under five years old.
Clara Maria Gabriela Keban Copyright (c) 2022 Clara Maria Gabriela Keban https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 http://journal2.uad.ac.id/index.php/cp/article/view/6873 Tue, 28 Feb 2023 00:00:00 +0000 Faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi pemanfaatan posyandu lansia di Kelurahan Sungai Piring, Riau http://journal2.uad.ac.id/index.php/cp/article/view/6617
In the Sungai Piring Community Service Center work area, utilization of the implementation of the standard operating procedure of the integrated service center for the elderly remained low at 26%, and performance falls short of the 100% minimum service standard. To investigate the factors that influence the use of an integrated service center for the elderly in Sungai Piring Village, Batang Tuaka District, Indragiri Hilir Regency, in 2020. This study is a quantitative analytic study with a cross-sectional design. Sungai Piring Village, Batang Tuaka District, Indragiri Hilir Regency, has a population of 373 people who are all pre-elderly and elderly aged 45 and up. The research sample size was 150 people. The samples were collected using systematic random sampling. A questionnaire tested for validity, and reliability was used to collect data. Measured variables were the utilization of integrated service centers knowledge, attitude, access to an integrated service center, family support, health personnel services, cadre services, education, occupation, age, and gender. Chi-square test and multiple logistic regression were used to analyze the data. The findings revealed that 61.8% of the elderly did not use the elderly integrated service center. The results of the multivariate analysis revealed that attitude (p=0.030), family support (p=0.000), healthcare services (p=0.009), and education (p=0.005) were the variables that influenced the use of an integrated service center for the elderly. Family support is the most influential variable (POR 18,121). As a result, improved health promotion and education about the importance of an integrated service center for elderly-to-elderly families, as well as the formation of family groups to care for the elderly, are required. Community service centers can help to increase the use of integrated health centers for the elderly by fostering collaboration across sectors, the private sector, and community empowerment.
Devi Susanty, Mitra Mitra, Yanwir Kamal, Nurlisis Nurlisis, Heryudarini Harahap Copyright (c) 2022 Devi Susanty, Mitra Mitra, Yanwir Kamal, Nurlisis Nurlisis, Heryudarini Harahap https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 http://journal2.uad.ac.id/index.php/cp/article/view/6617 Tue, 28 Feb 2023 00:00:00 +0000
