Especially the problem of moral damage caused by weak values education which results in various immoral behavior occurring among young people. One of the important roles in moral formation besides the family institution is the educational institution at school. As an education system, schools have an important strategic role in internalizing Islamic values which strengthen students' morals. Especially in Muhammadiyah schools, Islamic education has a core curriculum through learning ISMUBA. ISMUBA learning itself includes lessons on Aqidah, Akhlak, Worship, Tarikh, Arabic, and the Qur'an-hadith as well as Muhammadiyah which are designed to fulfill knowledge as well as shape students' religious behavior. This research uses a descriptive-qualitative method, where data is collected through interview, observation and documentation techniques. After the data is collected, it is then analyzed in depth and presented systematically. The results of this research show that the Islamic values internalized through the ISMUBA learning process can at least be mapped into several aspects such as: congregational prayer activities at school, daily exemplary efforts that refer to the characteristics of the Prophet, practice of hadith values, and through communication etiquette patterns. Apart from that, this research also found three-concept stages in the process of internalizing Islamic values through ISMUBA learning carried out at the Muhammadiyah Kriyan Jepara Elementary School, namely: First, value transformation, namely systematic gradual changes through Islamic values in ISMUBA learning; second, value transactions, namely associating relationships between values, ideas and actions as a stimulus process in the learning process; Third, trans-internalization, namely the process of incorporating Islamic values into the learner's dimensions through ISMUBA's internal and external learning support.
2024-04-15T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Naufal Hidayatullah, Arif Rahman http://journal2.uad.ac.id/index.php/IWP/article/view/10212 Holy War on Islam, Christianity and Judaism 2024-03-07T02:15:09+00:00 Dwi Estiningsih dwiestiningsih@umpo.ac.id Muh Tajab mtajab@gmail.com Katni katni@gmail.com Munirul Ikhwan munirul.Ikhwan@gmail.com Akhmad Rizki Ramadhan akhmadrizki@gmail.com
The concept of holy war, often exclusively associated with Islamic Jihad, prompts misconceptions and misinterpretations. This study aims to elucidate the nuanced nature of holy war by examining its teachings within Christianity, Judaism, and Islam. Contrary to prevalent assumptions linking holy war solely with terrorism and the unjust spilling of innocent blood, this research seeks to explore whether these teachings inherently endorse violence or if they serve broader objectives encompassing politics, economics, or power dynamics. By analyzing historical and contemporary perspectives, this paper endeavors to illuminate the multifaceted motivations and interpretations behind holy wars across these faiths. Through this exploration, a deeper comprehension of the complexities underlying these doctrines emerges, challenging traditional assumptions and fostering a more comprehensive understanding of holy war beyond its conventional associations.
2024-04-15T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Dwi Estiningsih, Muh Tajab, Katni, Munirul Ikhwan, Akhmad Rizki Ramadhan http://journal2.uad.ac.id/index.php/IWP/article/view/10219 Islamic Investment: The Answer to Improving People's Welfare 2024-03-07T08:25:01+00:00 Rr. Bahry Al Farizi hatib.rahmawan@ilha.uad.ac.id Faizin Jabibil Haq Amahoroe hatib.rahmawan@ilha.uad.ac.id
This paper aims to formulate Abdullah Saeed's idea of contextualisation in the context of Hadith analysis. Therefore, the first step is that the author tries to dissect the epistemic basis of Abdullah Saeed's contextualisation method with a linguistic approach, namely semantic and pragmatic aspects. After dissecting with these two sciences, the basic ideas about contextualisation will be found. From there, the procedural steps of contextualisation are formulated, which are then used to understand the case of the Hadith of answering the greeting to non-Muslims. Based on the above analysis, there are several things that can be concluded. Firstly, the implementation of Abdullah Saeed's ideas in hadith studies is possible. Second, based on the linguistic approach the steps of contextualisation in hadith studies can be detailed as follows: (1) examining the characteristics of the text; (2) looking for the semantic/linguistic meaning of the text; (3), looking for the pragmatic meaning (context) of the text (surface meaning); (4), looking for the deep meaning; and (5) dialoguing all these elements with the reality and situation of the reader. Third, the results of contextualisation of answering non-Muslim greetings based on this approach are: (1) the issue of answering the greeting belongs to the area of mu'amalah; (2) answering the wrong of non-Muslims in the Indonesian context should at least be equivalent to what was said, and exceeding the answer is an act of ihsan; (3) the hadith contains universal fundamental values, namely that verbal violence committed by non-Muslims against Muslims must be responded gently (unemotional), prioritising unity and peace. In addition, the attitude of justice and ihsan must be taken into account; and (4) the further consequence of this is that giving the greeting first as a broadcast of Islam becomes a permissibility.
2024-04-15T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Hatib Rachmawan; A.R. Gender equality is one of the basic rights that we have as human beings. Human rights regulate that human rights are the rights and freedoms that we have as individuals regardless of race, nationality and gender. The right to get the same recognition as men tends to be difficult for women to obtain, even today. Because the assumption that women are weak creatures is like an ideology for the entire world community. Even the CEDAW rules themselves only received international approval in 1979 by the United Nations General Assembly or better known as the United Nations. CEDAW contains many regulations or rules where men and women have the same rights in various aspects, including marriage. Marriage is crucial in the issue of gender equality. Where a man can marry without a wali, while a woman cannot marry without a wali. This is seen as a form of discrimination against women. However, Islam has regulated everything on this earth including marriage. Islam highly upholds the dignity of a woman. The teachings of Islam brought by the Prophet Muhammad SAW so glorify a woman. A wali in marriage is immediately seen as a form of protection for women. And also in economic access, Islam sees that both men and women have the same access rights in the economy both in production, distribution and consumption. The research method used is descriptive qualitative method, which can provide an overview of the issue of gender equality in the perspective of Islam. In Islam, all problems have been resolved in the Koran and hadith. In terms of gender equality, Islam has also regulated it in such a way that there is still an element of justice in it, both for men and women.
2024-04-15T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Putri Aldila, Andy Putra Wijaya
